May/June 2009: Way to go Graduates!! Volunteer Tricia O’toole recently graduated from Virginia Tech, and teen volunteer Melissa Modolo graduated from Loudoun County High School. Many thanks to these outstanding young women, and we wish them all the best!!
April 2009: Congratulations to our own Jocelen Pearson for being selected Volunteer Loudoun’s Adult Volunteer of the Year for 2008!! The Loudoun County Board of Supervisors presented this award at their April meeting. This award recognizes the outstanding contribution the recepient provides to the organization and to our community.
Congratulations to Laura Ware who was named 2009 LTRF Adult Volunteer of the Year!! Also, congratulations to Melissa Modolo who received the Amy Sloyan Memorial Award that is presented annually to our Outstanding Teen Volunteer of the Year!! These awards were presented at our Volunteer Appreciation/Awards reception held on November 13, 2009. Many thanks to them and to all our outstanding group of dedicated volunteers!

Our own therapy horse “Thomas” wins NARHA Region 3 Therapy Horse of the Year for 2008!! This award was presented on November 1, 2008 in Hartford, CT at the NARHA Annual Meeting and Conference.
