Interim Executive Director
Christie is a longtime resident of Loudoun County, and a well known figure in the local equestrian community. After graduating from the University of Mary Washington, she built a successful business as an equestrian coach and horse trainer in the sport of Eventing, and competed widely throughout the mid-Atlantic region. A U.S. Pony Club graduate “A”, Christie was asked by the board of the Virginia Region Pony Club to create a new riding center at Redgate Farm in Bluemont, where she was barn manager. Christie is a member of the Piedmont Foxhounds, and has worked with the Hunt’s fundraising committee.
Christie joined the team in June 2021 to assist with social media and fundraising, and managed the transition of LTR to Lucia Farm. When Executive Director Susan Koehler announced her retirement in September, Christie accepted the position of Interim Executive Director. Her connections to the Loudoun County community and management experience will serve as a great asset as LTR settles in to its new home, and expands its lesson program.
Christie lives in Leesburg and is training her homebred mare Tink for Eventing and foxhunting.
