Kathy Blaine
Program Director
Kathy Blaine is the Program Director for the Loudoun Therapeutic Riding Foundation. She attended Averett University and holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Virginia Commonwealth University where she completed her studies.
Kathy is a Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor (CTRI), PATH Intl. Mentor, and an Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning (ESMHL) She is former member of the Board of Directors of the Therapeutic Riding Association of Virginia (TRAV) serving as the Chair of TRAV Center Relations Committee.
During college she began teaching and continued as an instructor in the Richmond area. She competed in both eventing and dressage and kept her own horses at their farm after moving to Northern Virginia.
Kathy and her husband Ken now live in Purcellville, VA where she is active in church and community organizations. When not in the barn, she enjoys travel, hiking and spending time with their two grown children’s families, including 2 grandchildren.
